Baked Fennel with Soy Sauce and Sesame

Baked fennel with soy sauce and sesame is a vegetarian side dish with a spicy flavor. I seasoned the fennel with an emulsion of oil, soy sauce, honey, and curry; then I added sesame seeds and baked them. Once out of the oven, this delicious fennel will fill your kitchen with an irresistible aroma!

Baked Fennel with Soy Sauce and Sesame

Ingredients

  • 2 fennel
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp curry
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • to taste sesame seeds
  • 1 bunch parsley

Steps

  • To prepare the baked fennel, pour the extra virgin olive oil, soy sauce, and curry into a small bowl.

  • Also add the honey and mix well to get a well-emulsified mixture.

  • Thoroughly clean the fennel, rinse, and cut them into slices.

  • Dip the fennel in the previously made emulsion, and place them on an oven tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Season the fennel with the remaining emulsion and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Serve with chopped parsley and enjoy your meal!
