Potato chips are a crunchy and delicious snack, perfect for enjoying during an aperitif or while snacking in front of the TV. Making these chips is very easy: simply slice the potatoes thinly, soak them in water to remove the starch, and then cook them. For a healthier snack, instead of frying, I recommend baking them or using an air fryer: they will be crispy and tasty and will disappear in no time!

- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Cooking methods: Air Frying
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes (medium-sized)
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
Tools
- Mandolin
- Air Fryer
Steps
To make potato chips, peel, wash and dry the potatoes.
Using a mandolin, slice the potatoes into very thin slices (just under 1 mm thick).
Rinse them under running water, soak them in cold water for about 20 minutes.
Then drain and dry them well with a clean towel (or with some paper towel).
Transfer the potato chips to a bowl, add a pinch of salt and drizzle with a little extra virgin olive oil.
Place the potato chips in the basket of the air fryer and cook at 392°F for 15 minutes until golden, shaking the basket occasionally.
Alternatively, cook them in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 20 minutes, flipping them after 10 minutes.
Once cooked, the chips will be ready to enjoy. Enjoy!
