Ingredients
- 1.5 cups black flour (with activated charcoal)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp fresh yeast
- 3/4 tsp salt
- to taste sesame seeds
- 2 sausages
- 2 cheddar cheese slices
- 2 leaves lettuce
- 1 tomato
- sauces (to taste)
Steps
To make the black sandwich with sausage, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and mix it with the flour. Add the extra virgin olive oil and finally add the salt.
Knead well until you get a soft and homogeneous dough, form a ball and let rise in a bowl, well covered, for three hours.
After the first rising time, take the dough and divide it into equal balls (about 1.4 oz each). Form the buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, let rest for about an hour.
Brush the buns with extra virgin olive oil and garnish with sesame seeds. Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
On the grill or griddle, cook the sausages, turning them from time to time until they are evenly cooked. For convenience, once they are golden outside, I cut them in half so they cook inside too. Place a cheese slice on each sausage and let it melt.
Wash and dry the lettuce and tomato, slice the latter.
Cut the buns in half and toast them on the grill or griddle where the sausages were cooked.
Dress the buns with the chosen sauces, then fill them with the sausages, a lettuce leaf, and a slice of tomato. Close the sandwich and serve. Enjoy your meal!
