The chocolate and walnut brownies are one of those desserts I’ve always made: a true signature dish of my kitchen.
Intense, rich and incredibly indulgent, these brownies win you over at the first bite thanks to the perfect balance between the bold flavor of dark chocolate and the crunch of walnuts.
It’s a simple and quick recipe, perfect when you crave something homemade and delicious without complications. Ideal to enjoy at any time of day, maybe with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients
- 5.3 oz dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp water
- 7 tbsp sunflower oil (or 5.3 oz (about 2/3 cup) butter)
- 6.5 tbsp granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 3.5 oz walnuts
- as needed powdered sugar

Steps
To make the chocolate and walnut brownies, melt the dark chocolate with the water in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
In a bowl pour the melted chocolate and add the sugar and the oil. Begin to combine the ingredients.
Then add the eggs one at a time and the flour. Mix until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous batter.
Finally, fold in the coarsely chopped walnuts.
Line a rectangular baking pan (23 x 22 cm — about 9 x 8 2/3 inches) with parchment paper and pour the batter into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 10–15 minutes, then perform the toothpick test.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool. Then dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares. Enjoy!
