Preparation
To make the chocolate caramel cookies, beat the egg with the brown sugar and sunflower oil in a bowl. Then add the vanilla extract, continue beating, and gradually incorporate the flour and baking powder.
Finally, add the chocolate chips and mix the ingredients until you get a smooth and compact dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.
Then take the dough out of the refrigerator and, with the help of a rolling pin, roll it out on a lightly floured board. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Then cut the dough with the help of a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place the hearts obtained on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about ten minutes, until golden. Once baked, let them rest for 5 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack and let them cool completely.
Spread a generous teaspoon of caramel sauce on the surface of the cookies and let them rest for an hour. Melt the milk chocolate in a bain-marie and dip the cookies in it, place them on a wire rack, and let them rest to set the chocolate.
Decorate the chocolates with melted white chocolate and little hearts. Store the chocolates in a cookie jar, do not refrigerate. Enjoy!
