The chocolate rolls are perfect single-serve treats for the whole family’s snack time or to enjoy at the end of meals. For this recipe, I made a biscuit dough, cut it into rectangles, filled it with hazelnut spread, and formed rolls. Lastly, I coated the rolls in chocolate and chopped hazelnuts. Tasty and easy to make, these rolls will disappear in no time!

- as needed hazelnut spread
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 5.3 oz milk chocolate
- 5.3 oz dark chocolate

Steps
To make the chocolate rolls, separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a bowl, beat the egg whites with 30 grams of sugar until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl, beat the yolks with 70 grams of sugar. Pour the egg whites in and fold them into the yolks using a spatula with an upward motion.
Then incorporate the sifted flour with the cornstarch and finally the baking powder. Blend the ingredients until smooth and homogeneous.
Pour the mixture into the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 10-12 minutes, until golden. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool by flipping it onto another sheet of parchment paper.
Once cooled, use a damp brush to moisten the parchment paper slightly to remove it from the roll.
Cut the roll into 8 rectangles and spread a layer of hazelnut spread on each rectangle. Roll each rectangle from the short side to obtain rolls
Melt the two chocolates together in a bowl using a double boiler, stir to obtain a homogeneous mixture, and incorporate the chopped hazelnuts.
Dip the rolls in the chocolate and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Store in the fridge to firm up the chocolate. Enjoy!
