Cocoa and Orange Cookies are baked treats made without lactose. Tasty and fragrant, these cookies are easy to make and are distinguished by their sugar glaze (granulated and powdered) that creates cracks on their surface during baking. These cookies are ideal for breakfast or as a snack for the whole family!

- Portions: 20 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg (small)
- 1/3 cup sunflower oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Half orange
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- as needed granulated sugar
- as needed powdered sugar
Preparation
To make Cocoa and Orange Cookies, in a bowl mix the sugar with the sunflower oil; then while continuing to mix, add the egg, the juice, and the grated zest of half an orange.
Add the sifted flour with the baking powder and cocoa; mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
With your hands, take the dough and form balls, the size of a walnut.
In one small plate pour some granulated sugar, and in another pour some powdered sugar. Roll the previously made balls first in the granulated sugar, and then in the powdered sugar, covering them well.
Transfer the cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, bake in a preheated oven (I used a fan oven) at 356°F for about 10 minutes.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the cookies cool. Enjoy!
