Coconut Milk and Chocolate Mousse

The coconut milk and dark chocolate mousse is a delicious vegan spoon dessert made with only two ingredients. Preparing this mousse is quick and easy: simply whip the coconut milk and then fold in the melted chocolate. With only two ingredients you’ll get a mousse with a delicate flavor and a light, melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Coconut milk and chocolate mousse

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup coconut milk (canned, chilled)
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • to taste nuts and dried fruit

Steps

  • To make the coconut milk and chocolate mousse, place the coconut milk in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours; for this recipe you need the coconut milk cold.

  • Then pour the coconut milk into a bowl and whip it with electric beaters.

  • Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Then incorporate it into the coconut milk, always mixing with the electric beaters until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Transfer the mousse into cups or glasses and place in the refrigerator to rest for at least 30 minutes.

  • Serve the mousse garnished with nuts or dried fruit; for example, I used hazelnuts and desiccated coconut. Enjoy!
