The Dexter muffin is a soft treat, perfect for Halloween thanks to the splatter effect in the decoration. This recipe is a tribute to the famous American TV series Dexter, which sparked my passion for TV series. Thanks to my boyfriend who recommended I watch it, I started following it with great interest, finishing two seasons in less than 24 hours!

Recipes for a Home Movie Night
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 8Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Sunflower oil
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1/3 cup Whipping cream
- 2 oz Cream cheese
- 2 tbsps Powdered sugar
- to taste Red food coloring
Preparation
To make the Dexter muffins, beat the eggs with the sugar until creamy. Add the oil and mix the ingredients well.
Add the flour and baking powder, and mix until the batter is smooth and homogeneous. Take a muffin pan with liners and fill them three-quarters full.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes, or do the toothpick test. Once baked, leave them in the off oven for 5 minutes with the door open. Then remove them from the oven and let them cool.
In a bowl, cream the cream cheese with the powdered sugar. Then fold in the whipped cream with a spatula, using an upward motion. Transfer the cream into a pastry bag.
Decorate the top of the muffins with the frosting, using a teaspoon or a toothpick to create splatters with the red food coloring.
Serve and enjoy!
