The Easter chocolate nests are dramatic place settings you can use to decorate the table at Easter, or they can be used to decorate Easter cakes. For these nests I used rice vermicelli, which I then filled with colored candy eggs and small chocolate eggs. If you make the nests with vermicelli they cannot be eaten because the vermicelli are used raw. If you want to make edible nests I recommend using bran sticks instead; you’ll find the quantities in the ingredients list. Easy and quick to make, you’ll enjoy making these chocolate Easter nests together with the little ones.

- 1.1 oz rice vermicelli (or 1.8 oz bran sticks)
- as needed small candy eggs
- as needed caramel
Tools
- Bowls
- Small bowls
Steps
To make the Easter chocolate nests, melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie.
Place the vermicelli spread out and broken into pieces by hand in a bowl, or alternatively use the bran sticks.
Then add the chocolate and mix with the help of two forks so the chocolate adheres well to the vermicelli.
Line three bowls with plastic wrap, about 4 1/3 in in diameter, and three smaller bowls about 2 3/4 in in diameter.
Pour the chocolate-covered vermicelli into the larger bowls, then place a smaller bowl on top of the vermicelli and press gently.
Place in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to let the chocolate harden.
Remove the nests from the bowls and fill them with colored confetti candy eggs and half chocolate eggs with a bit of caramel in the center (to create faux eggs). Enjoy!
