Flatbread Roll with Tomato and Arugula

The flatbread roll with tomato and arugula is easy and quick to make, ideal for buffets, appetizers, or as a vegetarian main course. In the recipe I propose today, I used cream cheese, tomato, and arugula for a light yet tasty filling. This roll can also be enjoyed cold, so you can prepare it in advance.

Flatbread Roll with Tomato and Arugula
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Cooking time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 Person

Ingredients

  • 1 Flatbread
  • 1 bunch Arugula
  • 3.5 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 sprig Oregano
  • to taste Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt

Preparation

  • To make the flatbread at home: click here.

  • To make the flatbread roll with tomato and arugula, wash and clean the tomato, then dice it. Wash and chop the arugula.

  • Pour the diced tomato into a bowl and season with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, oregano, and salt.

  • On a hot grill, warm the flatbread on both sides. Then spread the cheese over the surface of the flatbread, add the diced tomato and arugula.

  • With the help of aluminum foil, roll the flatbread tightly and leave it wrapped in the foil.

  • Let it rest in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Cut into slices 0.6 – 0.8 inches thick. Enjoy your meal!
