Flatbread with Ricotta, Potatoes, and Bacon

The flatbread with ricotta, potatoes, and bacon is a rich and delicious idea to enjoy with company as a single dish.

To make this recipe, I used some olive oil flatbreads and filled them with ricotta, boiled potatoes, and pan-fried bacon.

Flatbread with Ricotta, Potatoes, and Bacon

Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 9 oz potatoes
  • 3.5 oz ricotta
  • to taste dried oregano
  • to taste onion
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Steps

  • To make the flatbread with ricotta, potatoes, and bacon, first prepare the flatbreads at home or use ready-made ones.

  • Peel and clean the potatoes, then boil them in a pot with plenty of salted water.

  • In a pan, pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, some chopped onion, and oregano. Slightly wilt the onion, then add the diced bacon.

  • Brown the bacon in the pan, then add the boiled, diced potatoes. Stir over low heat, then remove the pan from the heat and adjust for salt.

  • Heat the flatbreads on both sides on the griddle. Spread the ricotta on the flatbreads’ surface.

  • Fill the flatbreads with potatoes and bacon, then fold them in half.

  • Serve warm and enjoy your meal!
