Heart-Shaped Pancakes for Valentine's Day

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste raspberry jam
  • to taste raspberries

Preparation

  • To make the heart-shaped pancakes, combine the dry ingredients in a bowl: add the flour and baking powder. Start mixing and add the sugar.

  • Then add the egg and vanilla extract. Also, pour in the milk and mix everything with the help of a whisk. You should obtain a smooth, lump-free batter.

  • Take a small pan, lightly grease it, and heat it over low heat. Then place the heart-shaped mold inside the pan.

  • Pour a couple of tablespoons of batter inside the mold. When bubbles begin to form on the surface and the edges start to lift, flip with the help of a spatula and remove the mold.

  • Cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes, waiting for it to color. Repeat the same operation until the batter is used up.

  • Spread raspberry jam on the surface of the pancakes. Stack the pancakes on a plate, one on top of the other.

  • Serve the pancakes warm with fresh raspberries, enjoy!
