Ingredients
- 2 Hot dog buns
- 2 Sausages
- 2 Sweet Italian Peppers
- 4 slices Cheddar
- sauces to taste
Preparation
To make the hot dogs with sweet Italian peppers, wash and clean the peppers, and with a knife remove the top and cut the bottom (where they start to narrow). Then remove the stem and seeds.
Then cut them in half, so as to get hollow pieces inside, perfect for housing the sausage.
Cut the cheddar cheese into strips. With a knife, cut the center of the sausage lengthwise. Stuff the sausages with the cheese: inside the cut made in the center of the sausage.
Insert the sausages inside two pieces of sweet Italian peppers, if the peppers should break, close by skewering toothpicks so they will remain compact during cooking.
Cook the sausages on the grill, or griddle, cooking them on all sides. Split the buns in half and heat them on the griddle on both sides.
Season the buns with sauces to taste and fill with the sausages. Close the bun and serve. Enjoy your meal!
