Ingredients
- 2 fennel bulbs
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pat butter
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Steps
To make pan-caramelized fennel, wash and clean the fennel bulbs, then slice them.
In a pan, pour the extra virgin olive oil and add the fennel. Place on the stove over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.
Then lower the heat, add the butter, and stir to combine.
Next, pour in the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Stir again to combine the ingredients.
Cook the fennel for another 15 minutes, stirring often. The fennel should be cooked but crunchy. Salt at the end of cooking.
