Today I present you the pancake recipe, made without butter and served with a tasty berry sauce.
Making pancakes at home is easy and fun, and only requires a few ingredients: flour, eggs, milk, sugar, and baking powder.
I garnished the pancakes with berries cooked in a pan with sugar, but alternatively, you can enjoy them with chocolate, yogurt, whipped cream, jam, honey, or fresh fruit.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsps sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3.5 oz berries
- 1 tbsp sugar

Steps
To make the pancakes, pour the flour and baking powder into a bowl. If you don’t have baking powder at home, you can substitute with a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix and add the sugar.
In a separate small bowl, beat the egg with the milk. You can also use lactose-free or plant-based milk.
Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
To taste, you can flavor the batter with spices, such as cinnamon, turmeric, or nutmeg.
Lightly grease a small pan and heat it over low heat.
Pour a couple of tablespoons of batter into the pan. When bubbles start forming on the surface and the edges begin to lift, flip with the help of a spatula.
Cook the other side for another minute, until it turns golden. Repeat the same operation until the batter is used up.
Place the pancakes on a plate, stacking them one on top of the other.
In a small pot, pour the berries and sugar, and place over low heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture starts to boil. Let it cook for about 5 minutes or until it begins to thicken.
Garnish the pancakes with the berries and serve. Enjoy your meal!
