Pandoro Roll with Rocher Glaze

The pandoro roll is a Christmas dessert filled with whipped cream and Nutella, then topped with a Rocher glaze. Making this recipe, without baking, is very easy: just slice the pandoro and create a roll. Then fill the roll with a cream of whipped cream and hazelnut spread. Finally, garnish the roll with a glaze of milk chocolate, hazelnut spread, and chopped hazelnuts. Ingredients

  • 4 slices pandoro
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 5.64 oz hazelnut spread
  • 3.5 oz milk chocolate
  • 1 oz chopped hazelnuts

Steps

  • To make the pandoro roll, whip the cream until stiff in a bowl. Then add the hazelnut spread and mix the ingredients to obtain a smooth cream.

  • Cut the pandoro into slices about 0.39 inches thick. Form a rectangle by arranging the pandoro slices on cling film.

  • Flatten the pandoro with a rolling pin to obtain an even surface with no empty spaces.

  • Fill with the previously made cream, spreading it well over the entire surface.

  • Roll from the longer side using cling wrap for assistance. Chill in the refrigerator for an hour.

  • In a small saucepan, melt the hazelnut spread and milk chocolate in a double boiler, mix them with a spoon and incorporate the chopped hazelnuts.

  • Remove the roll from the refrigerator, take off the cling film, and cover the roll with the glaze.

  • Place in the refrigerator for a few hours to allow the glaze to set. Slice the roll and serve. Enjoy!
