Ricotta and Chocolate Cake

The ricotta and chocolate cake is cooked in an air fryer and made with only four ingredients. This recipe is easy to make: just combine the ingredients and then cook in an air fryer or oven. I garnished the cake with a cocoa cream and chopped pistachios. In a few minutes, you will create a small dessert suitable for any occasion and to enjoy at any time of the day.

Ricotta and Chocolate Cake
  • Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 9 oz ricotta
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 oz dark chocolate (or chocolate chips)
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp water
  • 2 tsps unsweetened cocoa powder
  • to taste chopped pistachios

Tools

  • Whisk
  • Air Fryer
  • Baking Cups

Steps

  • To make the ricotta and chocolate cake, pour the ricotta, sugar, and eggs into a bowl.

  • Use a whisk to start mixing the ingredients until you obtain a smooth and creamy mixture.

  • Finally, add the chopped chocolate (or chocolate chips) and mix well.

  • Lightly grease the baking cups and pour the mixture into them.

  • Cook in the air fryer at 356°F for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • For those who do not have an air fryer, bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Once cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool.

  • In a small cup or bowl, pour the cocoa and water. Mix until you get a creamy texture.

  • Flip the cakes onto a serving plate, garnish them with the previously prepared cream and some chopped pistachios. Enjoy!
