The salted almonds are crunchy and tasty snacks, easy and quick to make, and ideal for a home aperitif. I prefer to use both peeled and unpeeled almonds, but you can easily use only peeled or only with the skin; the success of the recipe will be optimal anyway. I made these almonds using egg white and flavored them with some herbs and paprika. Finally, I toasted them in the oven; alternatively, you can use an air fryer and, once cooled, you can enjoy them. Warning: they’re addictive, you can’t stop at one!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 7 oz almonds
- 1 oz egg white
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp chives
- 1 tsp salt
Steps
To make the salted almonds, pour the egg white into a small bowl and lightly whisk it with a fork.
In a bowl, pour the almonds and add the egg white. Mix with a spoon to coat the almonds with the egg white.
Then add the chopped herbs, paprika, and salt, continuing to mix with a spoon.
Pour the almonds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
Alternatively, place them in the air fryer basket and toast them at 400°F for about 10 minutes.
The almonds can be stored in a glass or tin jar. Enjoy!
