Sandwich with Loin, Cheese, and Friggitelli

The sandwich with loin, cheese, and friggitelli is a rich and tasty delight. I filled the sandwich with friggitelli cooked in a pan with a bit of oil; then I spread some robiola cheese on the sandwich, added slices of pork loin (a cold cut from my area) and slices of Galbanino cheese. I used pita bread for the sandwich, but you can use any bread you like: the result will be just as amazing!

Sandwich with Loin, Cheese, and Friggitelli

Ingredients

  • 2 buns
  • 8 slices cured pork loin
  • 10 friggitelli
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • 3.5 oz robiola cheese
  • 1.75 oz Galbanino cheese

Steps

  • To make the sandwich with loin, cheese, and friggitelli, wash and clean the friggitelli, then remove the stem.

  • Pour some oil into a pan and heat it over a moderate flame.

  • When the oil is hot, add the friggitelli and cook them, turning to cook on all sides. Once cooked, drain and place them on a plate.

  • Cut the Galbanino cheese into slices and cut the buns in half.

  • Spread the robiola cheese on the buns and proceed with the filling starting from the bottom: lay the loin slices, then the friggitelli, and finally the Galbanino slices.

  • Close the sandwich and serve. Enjoy your meal!
