Savory Pie with Cabbage and Stracchino

The savory pie with cabbage and stracchino is a tasty vegetarian idea to serve at the table for any occasion.

To make this recipe, I used a roll of puff pastry filled with cabbage (first boiled and then sautéed in a pan), boiled potatoes, parmesan, and stracchino.

Savory Pie with Cabbage and Stracchino

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (round)
  • 3.5 oz stracchino
  • 3.5 oz potatoes
  • 10.5 oz cabbage
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Steps

  • To make the savory pie with cabbage and stracchino, wash and clean the cabbage, then cook it in plenty of boiling water and once ready, drain it.

  • In a pan, pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a clove of garlic. Put on the stove over low heat, and when the garlic is slightly golden, add the cabbage and sauté it.

  • At the end of cooking, remove the garlic, salt the cabbage, and pour it into a bowl.

  • Peel and clean the potatoes, boil them in a pot with plenty of salted water.

  • Once the potatoes are cooked, cut them into cubes and add them to the cabbage.

  • Add the parmesan and the stracchino cut into cubes, mix to combine the ingredients.

  • Take a round baking pan and place the puff pastry, leaving the provided parchment paper.

  • Pour the filling onto the puff pastry base, fold the edges of the puff pastry inward.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 20 minutes or until golden.

  • Serve the savory pie warm and enjoy your meal!
