Speculoos Bars

Speculoos bars are delicious chocolate treats with a spiced filling, perfect for making during Christmas. I made these bars using milk chocolate and filled them with homemade speculoos cookies along with a tasty speculoos spread. Easy to make, these bars are irresistible and will disappear in no time!

Speculoos Bars
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Medium
  • Rest time: 1 Hour 40 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 8/10 bars

Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz milk chocolate
  • 10 speculoos cookies
  • as needed speculoos spread

Tools

  • 1 Baking Pan

Steps

  • To make the speculoos bars, melt 5.25 oz of milk chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Pour it into an 8×8 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.

  • Coarsely crumble the speculoos cookies with your hands and pour them over the chocolate to create a layer. Refrigerate to set for 30 minutes.

  • Then remove from the refrigerator and form a layer of speculoos spread over the cookies. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.

  • Melt the remaining milk chocolate in a double boiler or microwave and cover everything. Refrigerate for an hour.

  • Remove from the mold and cut into bars. Enjoy!
