The spiced cookie wreath is an original idea to make for Christmas. I made these delicious cinnamon cookies without eggs and dairy. After arranging them in a circle and baking them in the oven, once cooled, I decorated them with colored food pencils; or you can decorate them with colored icing. With simplicity and ease, you will create a beautiful wreath to impress friends and family.

Sweet and Savory Christmas Wreaths
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 20 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups Flour
- 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 0.7 oz Honey
- 2 tablespoons Sunflower oil
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 2.7 tablespoons Warm water
- to taste Colored sprinkles
- Food pencils
Tools
- Ring
Preparation
To make the spiced cookie wreath, pour the flour, sugar, and cinnamon into a bowl. Mix and add honey and sunflower oil. Knead until you get a sandy mixture.
Finally, add the water, a little at a time, until it is completely absorbed and you get a homogeneous dough.
If at first, it seems like it doesn’t come together quickly, don’t get discouraged and keep mixing the ingredients. It will result in a very smooth and compact dough.
Form a ball and transfer it to the pastry board. With the help of a rolling pin, flatten the dough and make cookies with the appropriate cutters: in the shape of balls and Christmas trees, stars, snowmen, flowers.
Place a round ring (diameter 8 inches) in the center of the baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Arrange the cookies around the ring, alternating them and trying to match some edges, so they stick together during baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes, until golden. Once ready, take them out and let them cool.
Decorate the cookies with colored food pencils and sprinkles. Enjoy!
