The sweet cinnamon roll bread (cinnamon roll pull apart bread) is the perfect combination of two popular American desserts: cinnamon rolls and pull apart bread. The recipe I propose below is for homemade pull apart bread: a sweet bread that doesn’t require a knife because the slices are already separated and it is made in a rectangular shape, to be placed in a loaf pan. In this case, however, the pull apart bread is made into a roll and then cut into spirals, and after baking, it is glazed with sugar, milk, and vanilla: that’s why it resembles the famous cinnamon rolls. Once out of the oven, this dessert will fill the kitchen with the enchanting smell of cinnamon. Perfect for breakfast and snacks, the sweet cinnamon roll bread will brighten your day!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 oz Fresh yeast
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Butter at room temperature
- 5 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 Egg
- 3/8 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Preparation
To make the Sweet Cinnamon Roll Bread, in a large bowl, pour the flour and salt, mix to combine the two ingredients.
In another bowl, add the sugar and crumbled fresh yeast. Use a teaspoon to combine the two ingredients and then pour in the milk. While still stirring, add the egg and once incorporated, add the melted butter.
Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the flour and begin kneading. Work by hand until you have a compact and homogeneous dough that detaches from the bowl.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a cloth, and let it rest for an hour in a sheltered place, away from drafts.
Once the dough has doubled in size, transfer it to a floured surface. With the help of a rolling pin, roll out the dough to form a rectangle, about 20×12 inches.
Spread the softened butter at room temperature over the surface of the rectangle. And distribute the sugar, previously mixed with cinnamon.
Roll the dough on itself from the longer side and place the resulting roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, positioning the seam side down.
With the help of scissors, make diagonal cuts on the roll, almost reaching the base, to create 8 spirals. Move the spirals to the exterior right and left so they alternate. Cover with a cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
Then gently brush the roll with a beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Once ready, remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the milk and vanilla extract to make a glaze. Pour it over the roll and let it cool completely. Enjoy!
