Chocolate cookies are crispy and chocolaty desserts that bring love and good mood thanks to the properties of chocolate, which is the main ingredient.
Chocolate cookies are easy to make and suitable for any occasion. They can be served as a dessert or as breakfast or a snack or on special occasions like Valentine’s Day.
They are not only a pleasure for the palate but also offer various benefits
Chocolate is known for its gratifying effect, thanks to the presence of substances like serotonin and phenylethylamine, which can improve mood and reduce stress. A chocolate cookie, with its mix of sweetness and crunchiness, is perfect for indulging in a moment of pampering and relaxation.
Thanks to the combination of carbohydrates and sugars, chocolate cookies provide quick energy, making them ideal for a quick breakfast or a snack between activities.
Soft chocolate cookies are quick chocolate treats, easy to transport and store, making them a practical option for any occasion.
Who, like me, associates them with childhood memories, happy times spent with family with grandmothers and aunts who are now just a sweet memory? Do you ever stop for a moment and look at the world as a spectator? Do you reflect on the changes of loved ones, how they grew, aged, how we were and how we are now… Time slips through our fingers, but fortunately, memories do not.

Add the flour and the baking powder, and with the help of a spatula or a wooden spoon, knead until you get a compact dough.
Refrigerate for about half an hour.
After the resting time, the dough will have become more compact. Then form balls weighing 1.4 oz each and roll them in powdered sugar.
Place them on a rectangular baking tray lined with parchment paper and press lightly in the center of each cookie with two fingers (index and middle), to give it a cookie shape, and bake in a static oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes. Air fryer cooking at 320°F for 15 minutes. Before removing from oven, do the toothpick test. Remove them slightly soft. The cookies continue to cook with residual heat once removed from the oven.

FAQ
Can I make chocolate cookies without butter?
Yes! You can replace the butter with seed or coconut oil, or with yogurt for a lighter version, in the same quantity.
Can I freeze chocolate cookies?
Yes! You can freeze them already cooked or the raw dough, wrapping it in plastic wrap. When you want to bake them, let them thaw for a few minutes and put them in the oven.
Why do you use type 1 flour?
Because it is much less refined than type 00 and retains the properties of the grain as it is stone-ground.
Can I use type 00 flour?
Yes, but they are less healthy
