Meat and bread meatballs are soft, tasty, and will win you over at the first bite. They are also really easy to prepare. Great to eat cold during the warm season.
Ideal to serve as an appetizer or as a main course and they are also great to present to the little ones.
Made with few ingredients, but trust me, they are really good and not fried.
If made in smaller sizes, they are great served as a pasta topping.

Steps for preparing the meatballs
To prepare the delicious meat and bread meatballs, let’s start by getting a deep plate
Then let’s add the fresh bread crumbs and soak them in milk. Let them soften for a few minutes.
Then with a strainer, drain and squeeze them well with your hands. In the meantime, in a non-stick pan, add some extra virgin olive oil and sliced onion, or chopped, as you usually do, and fry lightly, then add the tomato sauce and salt. Cook for about 15-20 minutes with the lid on, and if it dries out, add a splash of water.
While the sauce cooks, in a bowl combine the ground veal, egg, well-squeezed bread crumbs, then salt, and finally Parmesan, and mix everything.
Now we are ready to form our meatballs. So, with the help of a fork, take 25 grams of the mixture and use your hands to form the meatballs.
Finally, place them in the ready sauce and cook, turning once on each side, for 10 minutes.
Once cooked, serve on a serving plate and … enjoy your tasting!
