The meat and bread meatballs are soft, tasty, and will win you over at the first bite. They are also really easy to prepare. Excellent served cold in the warm season.
Ideal as an appetizer or as a main course, and they are also great for kids.
Made with few ingredients, but believe me, they are really good and not fried.
If made smaller, they are great served as a pasta topping.

Steps for preparing the meatballs
To prepare the delicious meat and bread meatballs, start by getting a plate
Then place the fresh breadcrumbs in and soak them in milk. Let them soften for a few minutes.
Then, with a strainer, drain them and squeeze them well with your hands. In the meantime, in a nonstick pan, add a little extra virgin olive oil and sliced or chopped onion, as you usually do, and fry lightly, then add the tomato sauce and salt. Then cook for about 15–20 minutes with the lid on, and if it dries out, add a splash of water.
While the sauce is cooking, in a bowl put the ground beef, the egg, the well-squeezed breadcrumbs, then the salt, and finally the parmesan cheese, and mix everything together.
At this point, we are ready to shape our meatballs. So with the help of a fork, take 1 oz (approximately 25 grams) of mixture and shape the meatballs with your hands.
Finally, place them in the ready sauce and cook, turning once on each side, for 10 minutes.
When cooking is finished, serve on a serving plate and … enjoy your meal!
