  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup type 1 flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 1 cup nutella

To prepare the delicious Nutella roll, the foolproof recipe for a perfect result, let’s start by getting a bowl

  • Then break the eggs, separating the yolks from the whites. Add a pinch of salt to the whites and beat them until stiff with an electric whisk. Once the whites are well whipped, add the yolks and continue to whisk until the mixture is nice and fluffy. Then add the sugar and vegetable oil slowly, the teaspoon of baking powder and vanilla, all while whisking.

  • Lastly, sift in the flour. Gently mix with a spatula, from top to bottom, until the flour is perfectly incorporated.

  • Next, line a baking tray 16.5 x 13 inches with parchment paper and spread the batter evenly with a spatula, then bake at 350°F for 9 to 10 minutes until lightly golden.

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and flip onto another sheet of parchment paper. Remove the baking paper used and cover with plastic wrap and let it cool completely. Once cooled, fill it with Nutella, if it’s too stiff, melt it in a bain-marie, leaving the edges free, and gently roll it, using the parchment paper, into a log shape. Let it rest again for about an hour in the fridge.

  • After the resting time, place it on a serving plate, dust with powdered sugar, slice it with a large-bladed knife, and finally serve… enjoy!

Storage and notes

The Nutella roll can be stored in the fridge for three days.
