Peach Jam

Peach jam in summer is definitely the most popular due to the abundance of this fruit.
I have been making it for years thanks to my precious nectarine tree which always gifts me its fantastic and delicious fruits.

In my recipe, I use very little raw cane sugar, just the bare minimum to remove the fruit’s acidity.

There are many different varieties of peaches, and for my recipe, they are all suitable without making any distinction. The important thing is to choose the ripest ones, so they will be sweeter.

Ingredients for Making Peach Jam

  • 2.2 lbs peaches
  • 2 tablespoons raw cane sugar

Tools

  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Wooden Spoon
  • Jars as needed
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 Ladle

Steps for Making Peach Jam

To make the delicious peach jam, start by washing the fruit thoroughly under running water. Then remove the skin and pit.

  • Then, using a knife, cut them into pieces and place them directly in a pot along with the sugar. Then turn the stove on high and bring to a boil, then let it simmer on low heat uncovered so that the water evaporates well, for 40 minutes. Occasionally stir with the wooden spoon.

  • After the cooking time, blend everything with an immersion blender.

  • This way, the mixture will thicken further and will be ready.

  • Finally, using a ladle, pour the jam into our jars and seal them well.

  • Finish by boiling them in plenty of water for 30 minutes, always separated by a cloth as we did for sterilization. After the time has elapsed, turn off the heat and let them cool in their water.

  • And finally, our jam preserves will be ready.

Notes and Tips

The quantities I gave you are for 2.2 lbs of fruit. Naturally, when you try making it, I recommend making a lot, given the lengthy process.
