Pear and Chocolate Cake

The pear and chocolate cake is one of those cakes that never tire. Tasty, enveloping, and soft just right, chocolaty enough to intoxicate you and then savor the sweetness of the pear…

Without butter, with whole cane sugar, flour, and oat milk. Therefore a boost of fiber, carbohydrates, and vitamins.
The combination of taste and health is always essential, something I always try to match in my recipes. Remember that we are what we eat.

Easy and fairly quick. I am aware that there is always little time in the kitchen, but believe me, even with a few minutes available, it is possible to create healthy and delicious dishes.

Ingredients for the pear and chocolate cake batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup oat flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup whole cane sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup oat milk
  • 1 baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 5 Abate pears
  • to taste chocolate chips
  • to taste powdered sugar

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Electric whisk
  • 1 Springform pan
  • Parchment paper

Steps for the preparation of the pear and chocolate cake

Let’s start by peeling the pears and cutting them into slices. Then cut the larger slices in half, and set them aside.

Next, take a bowl and add the 3 eggs with a pinch of salt. Then, beat them with the electric whisk and first add the whole cane sugar, continuing to beat with the whisk, then the oil in a stream, then the oat milk, and then the flours, the cocoa powder, and finally the baking powder.

  • Mix everything well with a spatula and spread it on a round baking pan with a springform, previously lined with parchment paper.

After, sink the sliced pears into the batter forming a circle, see photo.

Finally, add the dark chocolate chips on top and bake at 356°F for about 30 minutes.

Let it cool and add powdered sugar to taste.

Notes

It’s also great the next day, as the pears help it retain the right moisture.
