Prosciutto crudo parcels are an elegant appetizer, perfect for impressing your guests.
Their composition combines sweet and savory flavors in a sophisticated balance, with an eye-catching presentation that makes them ideal for special occasions.
Each parcel is made from a slice of prosciutto crudo, gently placed in a muffin mold or a small baking cup, creating a crispy, salty base once slightly baked in the oven.
The filling is a creamy blend of spreadable cheese, enriched with chopped chives, adding freshness and a slightly tangy note.
To complete the filling, there is a touch of fresh pear, sliced, to add sweetness and crunch.
A drop of balsamic vinegar reduction is added to the center of the filling, providing acidity that enhances the overall taste of the dish.
Everything is garnished with a fresh basil leaf, which not only adds a touch of color but also enriches the aromatic bouquet.
A perfect appetizer to serve at dinner with friends or festive lunches.

Steps for Preparing Prosciutto Crudo Parcels
For a perfect preparation, WATCH THE VIDEO RECIPE
To prepare the delicious prosciutto crudo parcels, take a muffin tin
Fold each slice of prosciutto crudo into three, as seen in the video, and place them in each muffin mold to create a shell.
Bake at 392°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes in an air fryer or in a static oven at 392°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, pour the spreadable cream cheese and finely chopped chives and mix everything together
Let the prosciutto crudo baskets cool completely and fill them using a piping bag with the cheese and chives filling.
Cut half the pear into thin, half-moon slices, and add them to the filling along with a fresh basil leaf.
Drizzle with a few drops of balsamic vinegar, and the prosciutto crudo baskets are ready to be served…
Enjoy your tasting from Barbara!
Storage and Tips
I recommend purchasing the least salty prosciutto crudo available.
Store in the fridge for 2 days in an airtight container
If the baskets are already assembled, avoid adding the balsamic vinegar reduction and basil. Add them only when serving, to prevent the baskets from becoming soggy and losing their crispness.
