- 1 egg yolk

Steps for Preparing Quick Strawberry Pastries
To prepare the delicious quick strawberry pastries, start by washing the strawberries thoroughly under running water. Choose ripe and sweet strawberries to get the best flavor. Make sure to wash them well, remove the stems, and slice them thin and uniform for even distribution on the pastries.
Then cut the rectangular puff pastry into 8 equal rectangles. Place them, spaced apart, on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. With the blade of a knife, score the edges to create a border, as shown in the photo, about 0.4 inches thick, and prick the central part with a fork.
Then fill each center of the rectangle with a tablespoon of custard, spreading it over the inner surface without overflowing the edges
Then add the sliced strawberries and sprinkle them with powdered sugar. In a bowl, break an egg yolk, beat it with a teaspoon of sugar and brush the border so that during cooking they get a nice golden color that distinguishes them from the filling.
