Super Crispy Potato Chips, NO FRYING and NOT GREASY, They Are Irresistible!

The super crispy and light potato chips are neither fried nor greasy, but cooked in an air fryer that allows for healthy cooking with minimal fats.

Thanks to the special cooking method of the air fryer, which has an internal resistance that heats the air and a fan that circulates it quickly. This flow of hot air allows food to cook evenly using very little oil, thus reducing fats and calories and achieving a surprising result!

They cook in a short amount of time, saving both time and energy.

Potato chips are versatile because you can pair them with anything and personalize them to your liking by adding various flavors.

Moreover, both adults and kids go crazy for them! Every crunch is a burst of pleasure.

And having homemade chips better than store-bought ones is priceless.

Ingredients for the Potato Chips

  • 3 medium potatoes
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste water

Tools

  • 1 Salad Bowl
  • 1 Mandoline
  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Oil Sprayer
  • 1 Peeler
  • 1 Colander
  • 1 Paper Towels

Steps to Prepare the Potato Chips

  • Start by peeling the potatoes with a peeler.

Slice them thinly with a mandoline and soak them in a salad bowl filled with water for 15-30 minutes or, if you have time, for a few hours, so they release all the starch. The longer they soak, the better.

Drain and pat them dry with paper towels.

Place them in the drawers of the air fryer or in the tray of a steam oven air fryer, side by side without overlapping them, and season them with a spray of extra-virgin olive oil and fine salt

Cook at 392°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking, and enjoy them all!

Storage and Tips

If you have leftovers, let the chips cool completely before storing them. If you place them immediately in a container, the remaining steam will create moisture, making them soft.

Store the chips in an airtight container or a resealable bag like zip-lock. Ensure the container is completely dry: even a few drops of moisture reduce the crispiness. Keep them at room temperature for a day

Before serving, reheat them at 320°F (160°C) in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.

They can be frozen for up to 2 months.
