Super Crispy Potato Chips, NOT FRIED and NOT GREASY, They’re Irresistible!

The super crispy and light potato chips are neither fried nor greasy, but cooked in an air fryer that allows healthy cooking with little fat.

Thanks to the special cooking of the air fryer which has an internal resistance that heats the air and a fan that circulates it quickly. This hot air flow allows food to cook evenly using very little oil, reducing fat and calories and achieving a surprising result!

They cook in a short time, saving both time and energy.

Potato chips are versatile as they pair with everything and you can customize them to your liking by enriching them with various flavors.

Moreover, both adults and children go crazy for them! Each crunch is an exaltation of pleasure.

And having homemade chips better than store-bought ones is priceless.

Steps for Preparing Potato Chips

  • Start by peeling the potatoes with a peeler.

Slice them thinly with a mandoline and immerse them in a salad bowl full of water for 15-30 minutes or, if you have time, for a few hours, so they release all the starch. The longer, the better.

Drain them and pat dry with a paper towel.

Place them in the drawers of the air fryer or in the tray of the ovenair fryer oven, side by side without overlapping, and season them with a spray of extra virgin olive oil and fine salt

Cook at 392°F for 12 to 15 minutes, turning them halfway through… enjoy them all!

Storage and Tips

If you have leftover chips, cool them completely before storing. Putting them in a container immediately will cause the remaining steam to create moisture, making them soft.

Store the chips in an airtight container or a resealable bag like a zip-lock. Make sure the container is completely dry: even a few drops of moisture will reduce the crispness. Store at room temperature for one day.

Before serving, reheat them at 320°F in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.

They can be frozen for up to 2 months.
