- 1 rectangular puff pastry
- 2 tomatoes
- 20 cubes cooked ham
- to taste fine salt
- to taste oregano
- to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps for Preparing Tomato Crackers
To prepare the delicious tomato crackers, start by thoroughly washing the tomatoes under running water, dry them, and then cut them in half and then into slices not too thin and not too large, remembering that they must sit at the center of the puff pastry squares we will prepare.
Then, fold the puff pastry to a thickness of about 2 inches and create 2×2 inch squares. Cut them with a knife or a fluted wheel directly on their parchment paper.
Then line a baking tray with another parchment paper and place the squares neatly and well-spaced from each other by at least half an inch as they will puff up during baking. Then, using a finger, make a small indentation in the center of each square and place a slice of tomato seasoned with salt, oregano, and a cube of cooked ham on top.
Bake at 356°F for about 25 minutes, until golden brown, remove from the oven, and drizzle with a bit of extra virgin olive oil . Serve warm or cold and … enjoy!
Storage and Notes
Tomato crackers can be stored for two days in a cool, dry place.
