The summer salad is perfect for these hot days when you don’t feel like cooking and have little appetite because it whets a bit 🙂

However, this morning there was a storm and the air has cooled a bit.

You can see that summer is slowly coming to an end: now in the morning and evening the air is cooler and it gets warmer during the day.

We are now in September, and before summer ends, we can still cook summer dishes, and one of these is summer salad.

The summer salad is made with cold ingredients and is quick to prepare 😀

I had some cheese and olives to use up, added other ingredients I had available, and that’s how this side dish I wanted to enjoy for today’s lunch was born.

I served it as a side dish, and if you make large portions, it could become a main course.

If you don’t have all these ingredients, you can also vary them according to your tastes or what you have available at that moment.

Fresh and light and suitable for everyone: it fills you up without weighing you down.

Ingredients for the Summer Salad

  • 14 oz tomatoes
  • 3.5 oz feta cheese
  • 11.3 oz tuna
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1.8 oz pitted olives
  • 7 oz cherry mozzarella balls
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Knife

Steps for the Summer Salad

  • In a bowl, pour the chopped tomatoes and cheese, the shredded tuna, corn, olives, and mozzarella balls.

    Season with the oil, salt to taste, and serve.

    If desired, the summer salad can be prepared a few hours in advance and kept in the fridge until serving.
