Whole Wheat Cake with Strawberries

The whole wheat cake with strawberries is a soft dessert made without yeast 😉

There are still strawberries, and after enjoying them in fruit salads and making jam, today I wanted to prepare a cake for tomorrow’s breakfast.

This is the perfect time for strawberries because they are at the peak of their ripeness, so let’s take advantage of them to make some delicacies.

This dessert, for example, is made with whole wheat flour and Greek yogurt.

I often consume Greek yogurt because I like it not only eaten as it is but also in desserts that it makes soft.

In this cake, I used plain Greek yogurt, but if you prefer, you can use strawberry-flavored yogurt to enhance the fruit flavor.

The whole wheat cake with strawberries is also suitable for an afternoon snack, perhaps accompanied by a cup of lemon tea 😉

Ingredients for the whole wheat cake with strawberries

  • 7 oz whole wheat flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 9 oz strawberries
  • to taste powdered sugar

  • 1 Parchment paper

Steps for the whole wheat cake with strawberries

  • In a bowl, pour the whole wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and Greek yogurt.

    Stir the mixture with a spoon and pour it into a cake pan lined with parchment paper.

  • Wash and halve the strawberries, place them in a small bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice, and add sugar to taste. Stir and place them on the mixture.

    Preheat the oven to 350°F in static mode and bake the whole wheat cake with strawberries for about 45 minutes.

    Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar to taste.
