Ingredients

  • 1 oz onion
  • 1.8 oz carrot
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 14 oz frozen minestrone
  • 10.5 oz cooked chickpeas, boiled (or canned)
  • 7 oz grain mix
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp broth cube
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 chili peppers (optional)

Preparation: Enriched Minestrone with Chickpeas and Grains

Traditional cooking

  • Start by peeling the celery, carrot, and onion, and make a mince.

  • In a pot, put the mince and EVO oil, and let it flavor for 3 minutes.

    After that, add the minestrone, water, and broth cube.

  • and the chickpeas, stir and cook for about 10 minutes, covered.

  • At this point, add the grain mix to the pot, or choose a single type of grain.

  • Cook for the time indicated on the box, about 12 minutes

  • Now that the grains are cooked, let them rest in the pot for 5 minutes.

  • Serve with the addition of chili pepper according to your taste.

  • Put the roughly chopped onion, carrot, and celery in the bowl, chop: 5 sec./speed 7. Gather with a spatula.
