Besides omega 3, bluefish are rich in vitamins (A, D, B2, PP) and minerals (calcium, phosphorus, iron, fluoride, iodine, and selenium), they cannot be farmed (always with the exception of tuna), are caught in the open sea, where pollution is significantly reduced and are available all year round, so they are always fresh.

  • Prepare a baking dish with parchment paper if baking in the oven, or directly in the basket with perforated parchment paper if using an air fryer.

Place the fish fillets with the silvery side down. Grate half of the lemon zest, being careful not to grate the white part.

  • Chop the parsley, put it in a small bowl, and add a little oil, then spread a little with a teaspoon over the top.

  • Prepare the breadcrumbs with minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Pecorino Romano, salt, and pepper, and moisten with a small cup of water and 2 tablespoons of oil

  • Spread the breadcrumbs over the fillets.

  • Grate the other half of the lemon.

storage and tips

You can replace this fish with any other type of fish already filleted or in steaks.

With the same recipe, you could also make cutlets, first dipping the fillets in beaten egg, then in breadcrumbs, cooking either fried or baked.
