Microwave Rice Timbale

Microwave Rice Timbale

With tomato, tuna, and fresh cheese
Quick, delicious, and economical.

Typically, making this dish traditionally would take at least 2 hours, between cooking the sauce, the rice, then seasoning it and baking it… My goodness, who has that kind of time!
Instead, with this recipe, it only takes us the time to cook the rice plus 2 minutes.
So very fast.
For the microwave rice timbale, you can choose a type of rice that holds its shape, or whichever you prefer.
I preferred fresh, well-ripened tomatoes, but you can also use simple tomato puree.
Then the other ingredients are tuna, basil, and fresh cheese to keep it light.
These last two ingredients can be replaced with minced meat or ham, and for the cheese, you can also use provolone.

I make the tuna at home; click here to see the recipe.
But now, let’s get into the kitchen.
