To prepare
The most important thing to do for this recipe is to take the roll of puff pastry, rectangular or round, out of the fridge at least half an hour before use.
Using a pasta cutter wheel make a first horizontal cut in the middle of the rectangle, dividing the dough into 2 parts.
Next, make 2 vertical cuts dividing the dough into 3 equal parts. Continue by cutting each obtained rectangle diagonally, thus creating triangles.
The first step is to use half of the ricotta or spreadable cheese and place a teaspoon on each triangle.
Next, take the remaining spreadable cheese and place it in a glass bowl along with the mortadella, pepper, and aromatic herbs for roasts, and blend with an immersion blender
until a smooth and homogeneous mousse is formed.
At this point, add a teaspoon of mortadella mousse to the puff pastry triangles.
Be careful not to overfill them, otherwise, it may overflow during cooking.
In exceptional cases, for those who do not like dairy products, these triangles can be filled with another type of cured meat of your choice.
Now all that remains is to roll up the croissants, starting from the widest part, i.e., the base of the triangle, up to the tip.
Transfer the croissants to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, spaced at least 3 fingers apart.
Brush them with beaten egg, or milk according to your taste.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds and bake in a preheated oven, static mode at 350°F, cooking times should be between 8/12 minutes, depending on the oven.As soon as you see the croissants are golden, you can take them out
