Savory puff pastry croissants with zucchini. How often do you lack ideas for a quick appetizer, perhaps when friends show up unexpectedly at your home? It happens to me often, and in 10 minutes I prepare these delicious croissants with whatever I have in the fridge.
This time I made them with zucchini, ricotta, and bacon, and decorated them with poppy and sesame seeds. I made the ricotta myself, see how by clicking here.
Additionally, I flavored the pastry with my roast aromas, see how I make them, click here.

Take the pastry out of the fridge at least half an hour before.
Spread it out on the work surface, and with a knife make 6 wedges.
You can already turn on the oven at 350°F
Spread the pastry triangles on a work surface, sprinkle them with the roast spices, then distribute the zucchini slices on the edges but not on the base as shown in the photo.
Place a spoonful of ricotta and a spoonful of smoked bacon cubes in the center.
Roll up the croissants, and in a small bowl beat the egg with the milk. Brush each croissant and sprinkle them with sesame and poppy seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 7/8 minutes, depending on the oven, as soon as they are golden…
Take them out and let them cool on a rack.

storage and tips
Savory puff pastry croissants with zucchini can be stored in a food bag in the fridge for 2 days.
If you want, you can change the filling with béchamel and other cold cuts, or you can use brisée pastry.
Instead of zucchini, you could use champignon mushrooms.
