Spaghetti with sea crab meat.
An elegant first course, only for seafood lovers.
Easy to make whether you use fresh crabs or, if you can’t find them, use jarred crab meat. Ideal for a romantic dinner, as seafood is aphrodisiac, accompanied by a flute of chilled prosecco. You can also execute the same recipe with sea urchin eggs.
First, I’ll show you the traditional recipe, and then the recipe using the Bimby.

Preparation: Spaghetti with Sea Crab Meat
Traditional preparation.
I am lucky to have a fisherman husband, so my crab was fresh, actually still walking.
But if you can’t find it fresh, you can also use jarred crab meat.
If you use fresh crabs, you have to boil some water, and only when it boils, immerse the crab and let it boil for 10 minutes.
Then let it cool down, and with a nutcracker, crush the claws and extract the meat. Then use a knife to pry between the carapace and the underside and open.
You will find the internal part there, which should be used entirely. Gather everything in a bowl and set aside.
Boil water for pasta, and in the meantime, proceed with the sauce preparation.
Cook ripe tomatoes in a pot with a pinch of salt, once cooked, it will take 5 minutes, blend everything.
Chop the parsley and set it aside, then in a pan, add the chopped garlic, butter, and oil, and let it lightly fry.
Pour the crab meat and..
the tomato pulp.
Mix and season with salt and pepper.
Cook for 5 minutes,
then if the water is boiling, you can add the pasta.
Drain the pasta and transfer it to the pan with the sauce, mix well and add the chopped parsley.
Serve hot, the Spaghetti with Sea Crab Meat are ready, with the traditional recipe.
If you use jarred crab meat, skip this step, but if you have the opportunity to use fresh crab, you need to put 500 g of water in the bowl.
Place the crab in the Varoma and cook for 30 min. at Varoma speed 1.
Then let it cool down, and with a nutcracker, crush the claws and extract the meat. Then use a knife to pry between the carapace and the underside and open.
You will find the internal part there, which should be used entirely. Gather everything in a bowl and set aside.
Empty the bowl and chop the parsley for 10 sec, speed 5. Gather with the spatula and set aside.
Put 1 garlic clove in the bowl and chop for 10 sec, speed 5.
Gather with the spatula, and add the butter and oil. Flavor for 2 min at 212°F speed 1.
Pour the crab meat and the tomato pulp in the bowl, with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook for 5 min. at 212°F speed 1.
At this point, you can decide whether to cook the pasta separately or in the bowl.
If you want to cook the spaghetti in the bowl, remove the sauce and set it aside, and, without washing it, add 42.3 oz of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil: 10 min./212°F/speed 1
.
Add the spaghetti through the lid hole, cook: the time indicated on the package/212°F/speed 1
or until al dente. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti through the Varoma dish and transfer into the bowl with the sauce.
Here are ready the Spaghetti with Sea Crab Meat, prepared with the Bimby.
