This dessert is an ode to indulgence and the creative reuse of holiday leftovers. Imagine the soft texture of panettone, pandoro, or colomba harmoniously blending with the light and fragrant filling,

all wrapped in a delicious velvety custard rich in flavor. Each bite is a journey through the aromas and flavors of past celebrations, a way to prolong the magic of the holidays in an unforgettable dessert. The enveloping sweetness of the leavened products merges with the delicacy of the cream, creating a perfect balance that delights the palate and warms the heart. This dessert is perfect for ending a meal with a festive note, for an afternoon treat, or to surprise your guests with an original and delicious idea. It’s a way to transform leftovers into a new, exquisite creation, showing that even what seems destined to end can be reborn into something even more special. I used a 1.65 lbs (750 g) colomba, then half a liter of chocolate custard and the same amount of traditional custard.

For the soaking, I’ll leave it to your taste, liqueur or simple milk. Since I had my grandchildren, I opted for milk.
