Turmeric Fish Balls
Tools
What we need to prepare
- 1 Knife
- 1 Chopping Board
- 1 Chopper
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Pan or the oven
Steps
To prepare
Let’s start with the choice of fish. You can make these with any type of fish as mentioned above, fresh or frozen. Today we will make them with swordfish.
Remove the outer skin from the swordfish, then chop it with a knife or using a chopper.
Transfer the chopped fish to a bowl along with the egg, Sicilian-seasoned breadcrumbs, turmeric, fish herbs, and water.
Mix.
Place a sheet of baking paper sprinkled with turmeric on a baking tray, then form balls about 1 inch in diameter, which you will then sprinkle with more turmeric if desired.
I will explain three different cooking methods.
First in a pan: heat the extra virgin olive oil and cook the balls for about 3 minutes on each side. Then absorb the excess oil with absorbent paper.
In an air fryer: Place the balls on fryer paper, spraying both the paper and the balls with spray oil.
Preheat the appliance as per the manufacturer’s instruction, then cook at 392°F for 3 minutes, then turn the balls and continue at the same temperature for another 2 minutes.
Oven cooking: place the balls on a tray with baking paper underneath.
Heat the oven to 356°F and cook the balls for about 10 or 12 minutes
Here are our turmeric fish balls, ready to serve, you can accompany them with tomatoes or other salad as you like.
