- 3.5 oz dark chocolate
- 0.8 cup sugar
- 0.5 cup sunflower oil
- 0.5 cup plain yogurt
- 1.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 packet baking powder
- powdered sugar (for dusting)

LET’S MAKE THE CAKE
To make the cake, first chop the chocolate, whisk the eggs well with the sugar until they are nice and fluffy, add the oil, yogurt, sifted flour, cocoa, and baking powder, mix well with the beaters and finally add the chopped chocolate. Pour everything into a pan lined with parchment paper for air fryer and cook using the dessert program at 320°F for about 20 minutes but adjust according to your air fryer; mine has two heating elements or in the oven at 356°F for about 35/40 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Chop the chocolate and set aside. Place the eggs with the sugar in the Thermomix for 1 minute at speed 4.
Add the yogurt and oil for 30 sec. at speed 3.
Add the sifted flour, cocoa, and baking powder for 1 minute at speed 4.
Add the chocolate for 10 sec. at speed 3 reverse. Proceed as above for cooking.
USEFUL TIPS FOR A PERFECT OUTCOME
For a good outcome of the recipe, make sure the ingredients are at room temperature, especially the yogurt. You can place it near a heat source or in a water bath for a few seconds. With room temperature yogurt and non-refrigerated eggs, you will get a beautiful, tall, and puffy dessert that doesn’t deflate after cooking. NEVER OPEN the oven in the first 30 minutes or until you see the dome forming. The dessert is ready only when the toothpick comes out nice and dry.
