Ingredients

TOMATOES WITH RICE COOKED IN AN AIR FRYER SIMPLE, QUICK, AND TASTY WITHOUT USING THE OVEN THEY ARE GREAT TO ENJOY BOTH HOT AND COLD

  • 4 tomatoes (round red)
  • 1 cup rice
  • potatoes (as many as you want)
  • oregano
  • basil
  • salt
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 glass water

Steps

LET’S PREPARE THIS DELICIOUS ROMAN DISH

  • Wash the tomatoes and then cut off the top and set it aside. Scoop out the inside and set aside the tomato pulp and blend it with an immersion blender. Then season it with salt, oregano, basil, and two tablespoons of oil, mix well, then add the rice, mix again, and set it aside.

    Now place the tomatoes in a round baking dish and season their interior with salt.

    Let’s prepare the potatoes with grandma’s trick. Peel the potatoes and cut them into large pieces as you like and cook them for a few minutes in water until you struggle to pierce them with a fork. At that point, drain them and season with salt, oil, oregano, and basil, and add them to the baking dish with the tomatoes.

    Now fill the tomatoes with the rice you set aside and whatever remains, distribute it over the potatoes, adjust again with salt, oil, basil, and oregano, and finally add the water. Cook everything in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 392°F. Check the cooking and if needed, extend the time a little. The fantastic tomatoes with rice Roman style are ready to be enjoyed.
