  • 25 oz apples
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 cup butter (soft)
  • 7 oz eggs (about 4 whole)
  • vanilla essence
  • 1.75 oz walnuts (shelled)
  • 1.75 oz hazelnuts (shelled)
  • ground cinnamon (to taste)
  • powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar

LET’S MAKE THE CAKE

  • To make this fantastic cake, you need to beat the soft butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and finally, add the flour with the baking powder and the essence. Mix well and transfer everything into a pan about 10 inches lined with parchment paper or buttered and floured. Peel the apples and slice them thinly but not too thin and arrange them on the whole cake side by side without leaving gaps. Coarsely chop the nuts and add them on top of the cake and finally, finish with a good dusting of cinnamon. Bake at 350°F for about 35 minutes but always adjust according to your oven and do the toothpick test. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar and then enjoy this marvel.
