Spicy chicken drumsticks , a second course that everyone loves, both adults and children, because they’re delicious, crispy, and tasty, accompanied with potatoes they are the best. Plus, you don’t even need to turn on the oven because they are cooked in an air fryer. To make the chicken drumsticks, I used my mother-in-law’s trick, put all the spices in a clear food bag, add the drumsticks, and then start pounding the closed bag so that all the spices blend perfectly on the drumsticks. Try them because they are truly delicious. But let’s see together what we need and how to prepare the spicy chicken drumsticks in the air fryer.

Ingredients

CRISPY AND TASTY SPICY CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITHOUT TURNING ON THE OVEN

  • 10 chicken drumsticks
  • mixed herbs (: parsley, sage, rosemary, marjoram, basil)
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bag food-grade clear plastic
  • 1 lemon
  • pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic

Steps

LET’S PREPARE THE CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

To make the chicken drumsticks, first finely chop all the herbs with a knife

Put all the chopped herbs in a bowl, and with a knife, chop the two garlic cloves into small pieces

Add the chopped garlic to the bowl with the herbs, add the spice mix,

Now add the pepper and then mix everything well

Finally, add the breadcrumbs. Now focus on the drumsticks

With a knife, make cuts on each chicken drumstick and place them in a bowl

Add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and mix. Now open the food bag well and add some of the herb and spice mix inside

Start adding the drumsticks a few at a time, then add another layer of herb and spice mix and more drumsticks

Continue until you finish all the chicken drumsticks, then close the bag and shake everything well so that the herbs and spices stick well to the chicken drumsticks. Let them rest for 20 minutes in the fridge. Arrange the drumsticks on the air fryer tray lined with parchment paper or in the appropriate fryer basket, add a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt, and cook for 20 minutes at 450°F (230°C), third air speed. Flip the drumsticks halfway through cooking. Enjoy your drumsticks that will be crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.

ADVICE:

Regarding both the herbs and spices, you can choose the ones you prefer, adjust the salt according to your taste as they are so spicy you might not even need it. If you don’t like it, you can remove the skin and then make the cuts, but I suggest leaving it on for that crunchy note that makes them truly special.
