Ingredients for Nutella Swirl Muffins

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/8 cup milk at room temperature
  • 1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Nutella®
  • hazelnut granules

Tools

  • 2 Bowls
  • Hand whisks
  • Muffin molds

Steps for Nutella Swirl Muffins

  • To make these delicious Nutella swirl muffins, beat the egg with the sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl for a few minutes using an electric whisk. Add the sunflower seed oil, then the warm milk, and mix vigorously. Then add the sifted all-purpose flour, a pinch of salt, and finally the baking powder, mixing until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous batter. Pour half of the batter into another bowl and add the sifted unsweetened cocoa powder, stirring to obtain the dark batter.

  • Once the two batters are ready, place them in two piping bags or simply use 2 spoons. Line the muffin mold with liners and pour a spoonful of white batter, a spoonful of cocoa batter, repeating the same operation twice. You’ll obtain two-tone muffins as in the photo. Continue this way until the batter is used up. Finally, place a teaspoon of Nutella on the batter. Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C) for 15-20 minutes. Turn off the oven, remove the muffins, and let them cool.

  • And here they are, the Nutella swirl muffins. Simply serve them garnished with more Nutella and hazelnut granules.

  • I hope you enjoy my latest recipe, see you next time, friends.
