Ingredients for the Pistachio and Hazelnut Frozen Dessert

  • 3.5 oz pistachio paste (Or pistachio spread)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6.3 oz condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp maraschino liqueur (Optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6.3 oz condensed milk
  • 3.5 oz hazelnut paste
  • 1 tbsp rum (Optional)
  • chopped hazelnuts and pistachios
  • pistachio and hazelnut spread

Steps for the Pistachio and Hazelnut Frozen Dessert

  • To make this frozen dessert, you only need 5 minutes. In a very cold bowl placed in the freezer for 30 minutes beforehand, beat the heavy cream with electric whisks. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form and slowly add the cold condensed milk from the fridge, beating for a few more minutes.

  • Pour the hazelnut paste and rum into the mixture and mix carefully with a spatula to obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • In a very cold bowl placed in the freezer for 30 minutes beforehand, beat the heavy cream with electric whisks. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form and slowly add the cold condensed milk from the fridge, beating for a few more minutes. Pour in the pistachio paste and maraschino liqueur and mix carefully with a spatula to obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Take a disposable loaf pan or if using a traditional loaf pan, simply line it with plastic wrap in advance. Pour the hazelnut mixture into the pan and level it well. Freeze for 20 minutes. Take the pan back and then pour in the pistachio mixture. Freeze for 5 hours or overnight.

  • Remove the pan from the freezer, gently unmold. Place the frozen dessert on a rectangular serving plate and decorate the top with pistachio and hazelnut spread, then chopped pistachios and hazelnuts.
